What is Transfer Guess?

Transfer Guess shows you a real transfer — player, selling club, buying club — and asks what it cost. You get five attempts and hot-or-cold feedback after each. The game is really about calibrating to era: fees that felt astronomical in 2008 look routine now, and the market has not moved evenly across positions.

How to play Transfer Guess

  1. You are shown a real football transfer — the player, selling club, and buying club.
  2. Guess the transfer fee by sliding or typing a value.
  3. After each guess you get hot/cold feedback showing how close you are.
  4. You have 5 attempts to land within the target range.
  5. The closer your guess, the higher your score.

Transfer Guess strategy

Price the era first, the player second. A twenty-five million pound fee was a marquee signing in 2005, an ordinary squad addition by 2018, and something close to a bargain now. Work out roughly when the deal happened, set your baseline there, and only then adjust for the player. Adjust down more often than feels right — the deals that stick in memory are the record-breakers, but most real transfers are mid-range, and free transfers and loans are in the pool too.
