This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Football IQ website at www.football-iq.app and the Football IQ mobile applications for iOS and Android (together, the "Services").

You can play the games on our website without creating an account. We ask for as little information as we can while still keeping your progress, streaks and leaderboard position working.

We collect minimal data necessary to provide our Services:

• Display Name — Used for leaderboards and personalization. You can change this at any time in your settings.
• Device Identifier — An anonymous identifier used to track your game progress and daily streaks across sessions.
• Email Address — Only if you choose to create an account or subscribe to updates. We do not sell or rent email addresses.
• Gameplay Data — The puzzles you have played, your scores, and your streaks, so we can show your history and stop you replaying the same puzzle.
• Usage & Device Data — Standard technical information such as browser type, approximate region, referring page, and pages viewed. On the website this is collected through cookies and similar technologies as described below.

Our website uses cookies, web beacons, local storage and similar technologies. We use them for three purposes:

• Essential — Keeping you signed in, remembering your subscription status, and saving your progress in a game you are part-way through.
• Analytics — Understanding which games are played and where people get stuck, so we can improve them.

Football IQ subscribers do not see ads. Purchasing a subscription removes advertising from both the website and the mobile apps.

We use trusted third-party services to run and improve the Services:

• Google AdSense — For displaying advertisements on our website. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads, as described above. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — For displaying banner and rewarded advertisements in our mobile apps. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data. On iOS, you will be prompted via App Tracking Transparency to allow personalized ads; you can opt out for non-personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Sentry — For crash monitoring and performance tracking. This helps us identify and fix bugs quickly to ensure a smooth experience.
• Supabase — For secure data storage and authentication services. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption.

The Services are intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your data is retained as long as you use the Services. In the mobile app you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen using the Delete Account option.

This action is irreversible and will permanently remove your game progress, streaks, and leaderboard entries from our databases. If you play on the website and want your data removed, email us at the address below and we will action it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated in the app or on the website.
